When I first heard about Yacht Week, I thought it would just be another sailing job — boats, guests, and long days at sea. What I didn’t expect was the camaraderie. From the very first week, I was shocked by the energy on board: skippers, hosts, and crew working together, laughing together, living like a family.
I originally told myself I couldn’t commit to a full season, so I just signed up for a single week. But that one week changed everything. The people I met, the friendships, the sense of community — I was hooked. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I came back.
Looking back now, I wish I had stayed for more weeks. Yacht Week isn’t just a job, it’s an experience that pulls you in. You arrive thinking you’re here to work, but you leave realizing you’ve become part of something much bigger.
